Down at
The Home Depot, on the first Saturday of each
month, we have "Kids Workshop" (http://corporate.homedepot.com/wps/portal/Kids_Workshops)
wherein kids can come to the store and do a project using real tools
etc. The kids learn about the safe way to build and it is a
great time for all. Emily has previously missed these events
because she had dance class on Saturday AM -- BUT, last Saturday she
was able to go to the workshop and pound nails, use glue, sandpaper,
screwdrivers, etc. Here we are with our Home Depot aprons on,
looking cool. Emily built (with a little help from Dad) the
Castle Bank she is holding. After that, she did a little work with me
in the electrical department, telling customers how not to harm
themselves with electricity (most don't listen).
