The entrance to the observation deck is next to St.Paul's
Chapel
on Broadway.
|
The fence surrounding
the chapel
is now a memorial to
those lost.
|
There are literally
thousands of
pictures, notes, flowers
and
other tokens along the
wall.
|
|
The observation deck
is open
daily but you must have
tickets.
They are free and available
about
7 or 8 blocks away at
pier 16
in the Seaport..

Ground Zero, the
former World
Trade Center site looks
today
pretty much like any
construction site.
|
Until you look at
the surrounding
buildings. There
you can see many blown out windows
and
other damage.
|
There is a large
pile of what looks
like structural steel
pieces waiting
to be hauled away in
the center
of this shot. There
were seven buildings here.

This view is to the
South and Liberty Street.

The small building
in the center
most likely will not
survive.

This view is to the
Northeast along Versey Street.
